The NZSIA was established in 1971 to train, examine and certify snowsport instructors and coaches at an internationally recognised standard. As an Incorporated Society the NZSIA is a completely non-profit organisation.

Renowned within the New Zealand snow industry and well recognised by the International Ski Instructors Association (ISIA), New Zealand trained instructors have developed a global reputation for high standards of professionalism over the past three decades.

The NZSIA is currently comprised of four different divisions: Ski, Snowboard (SBINZ), Telemark and Adaptive.

Snow Sports Coaching NZ

Snow Sports Coaching NZ has been established to support the development of Kiwi snow sport athletes through the education of their coaches. This initiative is a cooperative between Snow Sports New Zealand (SSNZ), SPARC and the NZSIA/SBINZ.
